Wai Paul passed

This morning my Aunt Lucida called to tell me that Wai Paul passed away in her sleep. Known as a Shanghai beauty, Mabel Chow won many awards for her art. She painted and sculpted. My mother's mother has had dementia for several years and hardly recognized me the last time I saw her in 2008. Nonetheless, I wish she had hung on a few more days as I had planned to see her on Christmas Day.

I told both my kids that I lost my last living grandparent today. Ethan asked me if I needed a bandaid. Kyra asked me to show her a photo of her great grandmother so she could remember her.
