When Kyra first started Kindergarten, she kept drawing these figures. At the time, she was obsessed with the iPhone app Angry Birds. Do you think these look like the hog creatures?
When my daughter turned three, she started pointing at everything and everyone, asking, "What's That?" It was about the same time that I had my son and my friends urged me to start this blog...a place for my photo and video essays about life on the ecotone.
As I mature as an artist, I hope to set up residence in literary ecotones, where writing breaks genres and artforms seeking the thrill of riding on the edge. An ecotone is a transitional zone between two communities containing the characteristic species of each.
