Over Christmas, we took the kids to visit my side of the family in L.A. Kyra got her first driver's license at Legoland. She was so excited to get behind the wheel. Unfortunately, she couldn't quite grasp the concept of steering.
And she easily got distracted...in this video, the fireworks were going off!
When my daughter turned three, she started pointing at everything and everyone, asking, "What's That?" It was about the same time that I had my son and my friends urged me to start this blog...a place for my photo and video essays about life on the ecotone.
As I mature as an artist, I hope to set up residence in literary ecotones, where writing breaks genres and artforms seeking the thrill of riding on the edge. An ecotone is a transitional zone between two communities containing the characteristic species of each.
