The new year is starting off full steam. I just learned that "Between the Lines" (adapted from a chapter in my memoir) is coming out in summer 2009. Check out Under the Sun. This will be my first creative nonfiction publication.
When my daughter turned three, she started pointing at everything and everyone, asking, "What's That?" It was about the same time that I had my son and my friends urged me to start this blog...a place for my photo and video essays about life on the ecotone.
As I mature as an artist, I hope to set up residence in literary ecotones, where writing breaks genres and artforms seeking the thrill of riding on the edge. An ecotone is a transitional zone between two communities containing the characteristic species of each.
